The Fruits of Our Labor

Thaaaaat's right, a tomato is a fruit.
I know it took long enough for these tomatoes to finally turn red but now we have our juicy little treasures. Siena's on a tomato binge right now. She loved the little cherry tomatoes that we got at the farmers market back on the 4th. Now she can eat our own home grown ones. These 2 tomato plants have been the slowest growing tomatoes I have every had. The bigger ones are finally barely starting to turn red but we can now pick a few of the cherry ones each day. It's a real treat for her to go pick them herself & know that she helped plant them.

Also, notice how long her hair is getting?

She is so adorable! I love that she gets the connection between what she helped plant and that she can now eat it! While I am in no rush for Maddy to get any older (she will be 2 on Sunday!)- I do look forward to things like planting a garden with her and playing hopscotch! Have a fun rest of the summer.
