It's Chinese New Year Again. The Year of the Dragon.
This year we were invited to a party that our friends Ellen, Rick & Sarah had. It was also Rick's birthday. So here are a few pictures that I got while there last night. I'm actually writing this the night before Chinese New Year so Siena hasn't gotten her traditional Red Envelope yet.
Anyway...Ellen made this beautiful Dragon Cake & ordered some yummy Chinese food. It was the perfect party, since the kids all played so well together downstairs in their basement & the adults had a nice break.
Like last year, I plan to read a book to Seina's class & explain a little about Chinese New Year to the kids. I know that she enjoys it each year. We filled red envelopes the other day with some play coins that look like ancient Chinese coins, for her to give out to her classmates.
