We got hit with yet another Big Snow storm on Friday(Feb. 5th). This was so much more than before. I measured just over a ft. on the back deck but I really think it was more. D.C. & Maryland was probably hit the worst. I heard reports of as much as 30". This time we also lost power. From about 2:00PM on Friday until 4:30AM Saturday we were in the cold. We tried to get to our friends, Mariblel & Elmo's house since they had power but the driveway was too deep in snow so we stuck it out. We all 3 camped out in the living room in front of the fireplace for the night. But we are lucky since there are so many still without power not far from us.
Mark was supposed to leave for Kentucky on business on Sunday but had to reschedule that for Monday since he couldn't even get out of the neighborhood. He couldn't fly out of D.C. as planned either & left out of Richmond. It wasn't until late Sunday that the snowplow came down our street. Because of all this, Siena's missed a lot of school & will probably miss all of this week, missing out on the Valentine's party that me & another Mom were giving. Bummer....we both would have enjoyed it & I had already bought most everything for it.
But tonight it all started up again. Yes...more snow! It started up around dinner time & has stopped for now but is supposed to be worse in the morning with Blizzard conditions. Our area is expecting 6-12". Just when we got through shoveling a foot it has to start again!
THIS OL' GEORGIA GIRL CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! I HAVE A MAJOR CASE OF SPRING FEVER!
